58 Time Utah Swimming State Championship Team

Assitant Coach Bryn Caraway

John Ruskin once said, "In order that people be happy in their work, these three things are needed: They must be fit for it, They must not do too much of it. And they must have a sense of success in it."  That's how I feel about my job. Since 2003 I have had the opportunity to be apart of this amazing swim team. I feel very fortunate that I am actually in a job that I enjoy, and hope to keep enjoying in the years to come. I am proud to say that I am a product of the Cottonwood Heights Aquatics Team. I started on their Pre-comp team when I was 8 and worked my way up to swim for Coach Todd (yes he is that old :) ) for a few years before I got to high school. I swam for Brighton High School, and was a two-time state champion in the 100 breaststroke; I also swam for the University of Utah for a little while. I soon discovered that as much as I liked to swim I enjoyed teaching swimming even more, and that's when I decided to coach. Before then, I taught swimming lessons since 1998 and during that period I had the opportunity to teach many individuals from adults down to infants and everything in between. I am currently going to school to finish my degree in Sociology and Family and Consumer Science, and hope to be done with that sometime in the near future. I enjoy my job, and I enjoy watching and helping these swimmers achieve goals that they never imagined they could achieve.
