Head Coach Todd Etherington
Competed for CHAT from 1975 until 1990. Qualifying for Junior Nationals in 1984, 1985 (top 8 finalist in the 200 meter breaststroke) and 1986. Senior National qualifier in 1987, 1988, 1989 and 1990. Swam for the University of Utah, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science. First started coaching at Canyon Racquet Club (country club) where he decided that coaching was what he wanted to do. First started coaching for CHAT in the fall of 1990 as an Assistant Age Group Coach, coaching 40 Bronze Team swimmers in the diving tank. Coach Todd was hired as the Head Age Group Coach as well as the Team Administrator in the fall of 1992, and is now working with the Tigersharks as well as the Junior/Senior Team. He has been voted the Utah Swimming Age Group Coach of the Year by fellow coaches during the seasons of 1993, 1996, 1998, 2002, 2003 and 2004. He has been voted the Utah Swimming Senior Coach of the Year by fellow coaches during the season of 2006. He has been the Head Coach for the LSC swim camps numerous times, an assistant coach for the Western Zone Select Camps in 2005 and 2006, and has also served as a coach for the Utah Western Zone Team in 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2002, 2005 and 2006 as well as the Team Manager for the Utah Western Zone Team in 1996, 1997, 1998, and 2000. Coach Todd has worked with numerous Top 16 swimmers, Junior National qualifiers as well as a Senior National and Olympic Trials qualifier.
